Let go of the past, let go of the future, let go of the present, and cross over to the farther shore of existence. With mind wholly liberated, you shall come no more to birth and death. (Dhammapada 348)

So much for the best laid plans...

Well, I get a call at 9:30 this morning, and the wife wakes me up...

It's the moving company saying that they have had a change and so they are coming today, not tomorrow as they told me last week Yes, I still have some things to pack, mainly my computer stuff and home theater since they were not going to be here until Friday, I was gonna do that today... *sigh*

And to add insult to injury, they say that my stuff will not be delivered to my new home until MAY 10!!!! NOBODY EVER TOLD ME THAT I'D HAVE TO WAIT ALMOST 2 WEEKS FOR MY STUFF!!! And the reason they moved up my date is because the driver of the truck has to be in Knoxville, TN tomorrow...

So I'm all like, well then why the heck can't we have our stuff this weekend???? Since he's gonna be 3 hours away in Knoxville tomorrow... Turns out they don't deliver on weekends!!!!!!! At this point I was pretty much awake and my blood pressure was boiling... I was THIS close to tell them to go fuck off and we'd find another company.. Told them that this was very unprofessional of them; very irritating to me, and NOT what I had been told, and the phone girl was nothing but "u-huh" and awkward silence. I was like "Well, are you going to say anything?" And so I was put on hold...

Then the truck driver picked up and said that he would be in Nashville over the weekend anyway, so if we could meet him there for sure, he would deliver as long as someone would be there to accept the load and give them access to the house to unload. I told him thank you very much for actually giving me an answer!

So, long story short (and too late for that now, kids...), as soon as I post this, I will be boxing up this computer and the next time you hear from me I will be in another state. I hope it doesn't take too long for me to get back online.

Wish me luck for making a 10 hour drive over the mountains (and through the woods...) to the new place...
